A unit of storage on a computer, 8 bits in a byte
3. Kilobyte
Most people refer to it as 1,000 bytes

5. Gigabyte
Equal to 1 billion bytes (1,073,741,842) or 1,024 megabytes
6. Bitmap Image
An image created or captured as a grid of colored dots (pixels)
7. Vector Image
Image created using points, lines, and curves to represent
images.
8. CMYK
A color model using Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black colors.
These Colors are mixed to create a full color image on a printer.
9. RGB
Red, Green, & Blue. Digital cameras and monitors use RGB to
record and display colors.
10. Gray Scale
Contains 256 shades of gray from white to black
11. Compression
Storing image data in a way that results in a reduction of file
size.
12. GIF
One of the main graphic formats displayed by web browsers.
Usually a vector graphic.
13. JPEG
Most common format used for storing and transmitting
photographs on the web.

3rd most common image format on the web. Great with
drawings and photos.

A file format that is used without suffering compression loss.

Is one of the many tiny dots that make up a picture.

Caused by enlarging a graphic too much.

Number of pixels in an image.
