Learn the difference between scientific and non scientific models of human behavior. 2. Understand the sociological perspective and basic concepts of sociology. Apply a sociological point of view to every day life (personal experiences and what is seen in the media). 3. 4. 5. 6. 6 Use several of the methods of sociology for collecting and analyzing social data. Appreciate the sociological classics (Durkheim, Marx, Weber, etc.) as well as contemporary contributions to sociology to expand our understanding of human society and behavior.
