Texas they brought their ideas with them from the
USA. As Teran tours the Mexican State of Coahuila y
Tejas he notices that it becomes less and less
Mexican. In an effort to keep the Anglos out they
banned slavery in Texas as well as immigration from
the United States.

These, and other grievances, were patiently borne by the people of

In 1832, Texans at Anahuac drafted the Turtle Bayou
Resolutions to explain their actions in attacking Mexican
commander John Bradburn who was disliked by the
colonists. They were angry and wanted to say that they
were not traitors to Mexico, but were against the
tyrannical government of which Bradburn was a part.
