2. Create a cartoon showing the difference between interpreting a statement figuratively versus literally. Be sure
to show what happens when your character misinterprets a statement. Your cartoon must be at least 3
cells/boxes in length. You may look online for comic templates or create your own.
3. Design a set of figurative language flashcards. Your flash cards should have the term on one side and the
definition and examples of the term on the other side.
4. Create a brochure teaching an elementary school student about one figurative/sensory/sound device term.
Make sure to provide the definition, examples, and illustrations or visuals for the term. You may design this
brochure by hand or on the computer.
