You must check deadlines and requirements online
Letters of recommendation from your teachers,
mentors, coaches and school counselor are usually
required

Requests:





CSU and UC do not require a letter of
recommendation
Ask politely – Your teachers, coaches, employer,
mentor and school counselor
Give them time -- Three to four weeks in advance is
an appropriate amount of time
Thank them -- It is very important for them to know
that you appreciate the work they have done for you

Other College Reps: Many college reps visit EC throughout the
fall. These are announced in the
E-gram and School Bulletin.
Students must pre-sign up in the Counseling Office to attend
these visitations
