2014 Salmon Run Volunteer Details Thank you for you for volunteering for the 2014 Salmon Run. We could not put on this event without your help. Please read all details and understand your roles. If you have any questions, please contact Emily Arredondo at Lay It Out Events 541-323-0964. 1. Check in at the Volunteer Check-In Table at Riverbend Park at 7:45 am. This lets us know you have arrived and lets us provide with you anything you made need (ie, volunteer tshirt, safety vest, directions). You will then be shuttled to your designated station. Aid station volunteers need to be in place by 8:45 am. 2. Park at Riverbend Park (Lowe's parking lot). If the Riverbend Park parking lot is full, park in the Lowe’s lot directly North of Riverbend Park. Please allow time to park, check in and reach your shift. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your shift. 3. Stay for your whole shift. Please remain at your location until you are relieved. All runners should be off of the course by 1pm. 4. Bring sunscreen, water, snacks and lunch. We will have some light snacks, granola bars and water available. 7. Prepare for all sorts of weather. Welcome to Central Oregon! Weather can change rapidly and without warning. Please dress in layers as temperature changes throughout the day are common. Rain is never out of the question, those on the course may want an umbrella. 8. Have a great time. Volunteers are one of the main reasons this race is so much fun. We truly appreciate your willingness to help. Remember to be supportive and have a good positive energy. The runners will definitely feed off of it. Enjoy. Aid Station General Information All the equipment will be there to be set up: table, drink coolers (one for GU Brew/ one for water), cups, drink mix, gels and trash bags. Critical: Please clean up all garbage left by racers; be sure to travel down the trails a couple hundred yards to pick up cups. All cups are recyclable and will need to be kept separate from trash.
