Titans were the children of Heaven and Earth.
Cronus and the other Titans were defeated by
Zeus (Cronus’ son). Many just took a lower
place, Cronus fled to Italy. (Believed that this
spread the Golden Age in Italy)
The titans then had children (the 12
Olympians) who overthrew them and were
very important in Greek and Roman life.

The Creation Stories

Stories about the birth of other gods or entities


Leto (Phoebe & Coeus) The Muses (Zeus and
Mnemosyne)
Their children and grandchildren made up
basically every story though.


Chaos Night and Erebus Love Night & Day.
Earth appears and Heaven.
Heaven and Earth create monsters, and then to
the Titans. Cronus kills Heaven, leaving the
Titans to rule, and the blood of Heaven creates
giants and the Furies.



Cronus finds out one of his children are
suppose to kill him.
To prevent this, he ate each one. His wife Rhea
hides one child. (Zeus)
He grows up, makes Cronus vomit up his
siblings unites against the Titans with his
siblings, the monsters, and Prometheus.

Zeus and his group wins.

They either imprison or punish the Titans.


Atlas has to bear the weight of the world on his
shoulders.
Others are imprisoned. Except for Prometheus
 Prometheus is later chained to a rock and have an eagle
pick at him for helping mankind, after he helped make
them with his brother Epimetheus.
