(IHC) online courses from the world’s top universities in high demand fields of global interest.
International Honors Certificates (IHC) online courses are:

Accessible: Open to all Phi Theta Kappa eligible students 100% online
Affordable: Though Phi Theta Kappa scholarships, IHC online courses cost the same as a
regular three credit hour course at ___ College
Meaningful: Students can earn three credit hours at ___ College towards their degree
Impactful: IHC online courses include a capstone that helps students apply for the Gilman
International Travel Scholarship to help more ___ College students travel abroad.

___ College Introduces Accessible, Affordable, and Meaningful International Education for a
Competitive Global Workforce:
In partnership with Phi Theta Kappa (the community college honors society), ___ College will offer
International Honors Certificates (IHC) online courses from UCLA Anderson, University of
Johannesburg, University of South Carolina, and the Beijing Language and Culture University.
The need for a globally prepared workforce is vital for regional economic development. In 2015,
companies invest in regions based on the talent of the globally competitive workforce. According to
the OECD, over 90% of global middle class spending will occur outside of the United States by 2030,
yet less than 2% of community college students travel abroad, according to a recent study from
Michigan State University.
“Our students must better understand global perspectives, how to work with people of different
cultures, and how to thrive in international markets. Sending community college students all over
the world to gain these necessary perspectives and skills is not practical. That is why ___ College has
partnered with Phi Theta Kappa to bring the top global universities to our students through a
