Positive Behavior Plan
Below is a list of our classroom rules and rewards. Please review these rules with your child. Each
day, please look at the folder and sign your initials on the date for that day so that I will know
that you observed the calendar. Don’t forget to give sincere praise for good behavior. Let’s work
together to have a great school year.
 Class Rules 
1. Come happy and ready to learn.
2. Keep hands and feet to yourself (be a good friend).
3. Listen when someone is speaking. Raise your hand to speak.
4. Walk inside the building
5. Keep your area clean
Positive Behavior Plan
This plan represents your child’s behavior during the day. A take-home folder will be sent home every EVERYDAY with
your child. This folder will have a monthly calendar inside to let you know your child is doing each day. Let’s work
together to make this a GREAT YEAR!!!
Make sure children are aware of expected behavior and understand classroom rules.
First Offense- Green  Happy Face:
A verbal warning will be given regarding the child’s behavior choice. The child’s clip will not be moved from the .
Second Offense- Yellow Straight Face:
5-minutes of recess or stations will be taken away. The child’s clip will be moved to yellow. Their folder will be noted along
with the rule that the child chose to break.
Third Offense-Red Sad Face:
10-minutes of recess or stations will be taken away. The child’s clip will be moved to red. Their folder will be noted along with
the rule that the child chose to break.
Fourth Offense-Send to Principal:
The child will be sent to the principal OR a call home to the parents will be made OR send a note home depending on the
behavior of the child.
For severe offenses such as biting, hitting the teacher or friends, yelling and/or screaming in anger, or bad language the child
will be sent to the principal’s office and a discipline note from the office will be sent home.
** A conduct grade will be given on the report card based on the number of times the child has moved their clip

Absences- If your child is absent, please make sure you send a
note to school when he/ she returns. The note should include: why
they were absent, their name, teacher’s name, date, and days they
were absent.
Going Home- If there is a change in how your child goes home,
please be sure to send a note to school to let me know of the
change. That way I can be sure to get them home the correct way.
Class Directory- I would like to create a class directory of your
child’s name, address, phone number and email address. This is
strictly for our class only. The purpose of it is for those parents
who would like to mail birthday party invitations, parents can

Parties- We have 3 class parties…Christmas, Valentines, and End
of the Year. I will have sheets for you to sign up to either
coordinate the party or help out.
Volunteers- There are many opportunities for you to get involved
in our school. If you would like to volunteer in any way, you must
first go onto the website www.pearlandisd.org and click on
“Become a Pearland ISD volunteer” link. We would love for you to
help out in the cafeteria, join and be a part of the PTA, chaperone
our field trip, be a part of WATCH DOGS, etc.
Book Orders- Every 4-6 weeks, I will send home a book order
form. You will be able to look through it and order books if you
would like. There are great books that cover some of the things
we are learning about in the classroom and some other fun books
your child may be interested in. It is entirely optional.
Parent/ Teacher Conferences
• We are required to have a face to face conference with
each child’s parent in our class. I will have a sign up sheet
with days and times of when we can meet. I have times
available during my conference time as well as after school.
Please mark your calendars of the day and time you choose.
• All conferences must be completed before the end of the
1st nine weeks of school.
