Begin Reading
Now that you are finished
reading lets spend some
time looking at character
development.
This short story is somewhat
hard to understand so lets
work through it together.
The main character seems to
be quite crazy and as you
read he continues to try and
explain himself. He actually
spends most of the story
doing this.
But the real question is what is
making him so crazy?
From what we know from
reading the story it is the old
man’s eye that makes the
narrator so upset.
Now that we have established
that it is the eye that makes him
crazy we can look at the other
contributing factors.
The main character has a very
elaborate plan to kill the old man,
but he can only do it when the
filmy white eye is visible.
This definitely suggests that he is
crazy.
Good job on the character
development!!
