Dear Parents,
A previous note explained the revision of the goal and prize system associated with the AR Program. Students
are required to meet a percentage of their quarter goal each week with 80% accuracy. These weekly goals are
based on the number of school days in the week. Prizes are awarded on Friday to students meeting their weekly
goal.
To help students meet their weekly goals, AR nights have been established where students may stay after school
until 4:20 to read, take tests, and check-out new books. We are trying to schedule these nights to not interfere
with already scheduled school activities. For the month of October, these nights will be Wednesday nights
ONLY. This is open to students In First Grade through Sixth grade. Students will need to be picked up by
4:20, if they are not picked up on time, they may lose their privilege to stay.
If you wish for your child to participate in any or all of these sessions, please fill out and return the bottom of
this letter. You may circle days your child will stay.
