We do know that it will cost ~$20 (same as last year) but will be hardcover with 30 more additional pages. We will be looking at advertising to help bring down the cost of the book. If you have questions or would like to help please contact Amy Keliikoa amykeliikoa@gmail.com. SCRIPS Fundraiser (Gift Cards) his is a great way to support Vista Academy and get your gifts out of the way. You can even use the gift cards for your regular shopping or gas fill-up! Here are a few of our frequently asked questions and answers: Q: What is Scrip? A: SCRIP is a term used for anything that is used in the place of money. For Vista Academy, it takes the form of gift cards from local and national merchants and is used like cash in their stores. When you buy these gift cards in advance of your shopping, Vista Academy earns a percentage of your purchases ranging from 3-12%. Just think, money you intend to spend anyway is generating financial support for our school without costing you a penny more! Q: Do I have to pay more than face value of the card? A: No. If you pay $25 for a card, the card will be valued at $25. Q: How does Vista Academy make money? A: Example: one $25 Chili’s gift card will make Vista $2.75. Chili’s pays 11% of the face value of the card; Ross 9%; WalMart 2%, etc. Q: Where can I go to order? A: Go to vista-pto.com and go to Fundraisers. You can print it off here or pick one up at the office. Q: When are the orders due? A: Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday and you will then be able to pick them up in the office Friday or have them sent home with your child. The option is on the 2nd sheet of the order form. Q: Do the cards expire or charge a fee? A: You will need to check the toll free number on the back of your card for balance and expiration information. Some cards may charge a fee if the card is not used. Evie is working with the scrips consultant on a new promotion for the school. Contact Evie McNeal evie.mcneal@gmail.com for more information.
