Teacher’s Prayer
I want to teach my students how-To live this life on earth,
To face its struggles and its strife
And to improve their worth.
Not just the lesson in a book,
Or how the rivers flow,
But to choose the proper path,
Wherever they may go.
To understand eternal truth,
And know right from wrong,
And gather all the beauty of
A flower and a song,
For if I help the world to grow
In wisdom and grace,
Then I feel that I have won
And I have filled my place.
And so I ask your guidance, God
That I may do my part,
For character and confidence
And happiness of heart.
THE TEACHER’S CREED
I believe in the innate goodness of boys and girls, in the wonders of their young
minds of great potential, waiting to be molded and developed into the promise of
tomorrow.
I believe in the right of every child to an education, for his days to be honed in
laughter , encouraged in love, immersed in truth, nurtured in wisdom, laced in
deals and filled with hope to be whatever he chooses to be, given the proper
guidance and encouragement to soar the heights of his reason and being.
I believe in the dignity of teaching, in the power of the teacher to influence a child
till eternity, in his ability to make a child wise and good, strong to face trials and
adversities, seasoned with temperance, self-denial and patience, in his dexterity
to discuss and lead the willing young hearts and minds into the world of sunshine,
of warmth and peace until he becomes a full-fledged adult.
I believe that to prepare our young for the world of tomorrow, education should
not only focus on simple transmitting knowledge but it place a premium on
invention, innovation, anticipation and adaptation.
I believe that learning must not only be on learning per se but it should be on
learning to do, learning to be and learning to live together.
I believe in the beauty and serendipity in the classroom, in the family and the
home, in the oneness and diversity of a unified nation, in the strength of a world
where countries care for Mother Earth, where they work with mutual respect and
harmony, in peace and brotherhood.
I believe in good behavior, promoting sound Filipino values, and the need to
persevere
And transmit the best of the Filipino culture and tradition to the next generation.
I believe in maintaining and in the continuing efforts to improve the quality,
relevance and effectiveness of education and schooling
I believe in encouraging enterprise for it is in initiative and resourcefulness that
we become productive contributing members of the society.
I believe in the efficacy of our schools, in the joy of serving others, in the mission
to educate, to stir young minds in the brilliance and the loneliness of ideals and
their options into positive courses of action to make visions and dreams become
realities.
I believe in the bliss of living- in the past and the richness of its lessons, in the
present and marvelous opportunities, in the future and its benevolent promises.
I believe that the greatest and perhaps, the only perfect gift that we as teachers
can give to our children , our co-teachers, our schools and our community and our
one and only Philippines is the gift of ourselves at our best and this means not
only sharing the skills and grace of our hands , the shrewdness of our brains and
the competence and capability as members , but our dreams, our finest
resolutions and the most solemn promises to ourselves to share in God’s Divine
Ministry of teaching.
We seek to shed light, live in His grace and radiate His love that we may produce
loving and intelligent children, all helping to become better persons building a
better world.

MY CREED
This creed is based on what I learn from the people around me, this people
taught me many things in life and these are:
1. I believe that teaching is not a profession but a vocation, demanding dedication and
a deep sense of commitment.
2. I believe that I am a co-worker of God, in the divine task of molding and forming the
young and growing minds and hearts entrusted to my care.
3. I believe that just as a lamp diffuses light, dispelling the surrounding darkness, so I
too, as a teacher, have to diffuse understanding, knowledge and love to my students
dispelling the darkness of ignorance and doubt.
4. I believe that as a teacher molding children for the 21st century, I must dare to be
different in my methodology and approach, challenging their intelligence, stimulating
their curiosity, exciting their imagination, and inculcating in them sound values.
5. I believe that every child is special and must be treated as such.
6. I believe that I must honor and respect the implicit pleas of every child to me, his
teacher, to become what he can be.
7. I believe that I must not differentiate between my students, and that I must not show
any personal preferences or dislikes.
8. I believe that I must not let my own problems, frustrations and anxieties colour and
affect my work and my attitude towards my students.
9. I believe that I am the decisive element in the classroom. It is my personal approach
that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather.
10. I believe that as a teacher I possess a tremendous power to make a child’s life
miserable or joyful. I can humiliate, humour, hurt or heal,
11. I believe that and in all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis will
be escalated, and a child humanized or dehumanized.
12. I believe that I must be courteous, humane and kind in all my dealings with my
colleagues and my students.
13. I believe that I must cooperate with the management and the authorities, respecting
their decisions and rules, yet never hesitating to express my own point of view.
14. I believe that I may agree to disagree with the management, but always doing so
with frankness and sincerity instead of indulging in backbiting and destructive criticism.

Narrative Report
Task 1:The Teacher and the LearnerDate:
December 2, 2012
Reflection/ Narrative Report
As I observe the class, I can see that the teacher is passionate about his
profession, he teaches with passion and enthusiasm. It’s like he put his heart into
teaching. As he discuss the topic to his students, they became silent not because of
fear but awe. As I listen to every words that he says, I can’t stop thinking that he is
brilliant because he knows how to connect to his students. The discussion was very
relevant not just to the students but also to the people in the society and he knows how
to motivate them.
As I keep observing the class, suddenly something entered in my mind, it’s an
idea. An idea that if I won’t give my best in what I do I can’t be like him or if I won’t do
my best in my college days I would become a teacher that is lousy. That day, I learned
a very important lesson: Be passionate about what you do no matter how lame it is”.
Task 2:Learning Resource CenterDate:January 9, 2013
Reflection/ Narrative Report
As I entered the AVR, I saw a bunch of students who are sitting and reading
some books and I suddenly realized that I never spent my spare time reading in the
library. As I went inwards, I saw these piles of books and some learning materials and I
suddenly remember that I’m a student who aspires to be a teacher, I want to be
competent but to do that I need to be more knowledgeable that my students and to
make that happen I need to read books as much as I can by going to the library. I f I’m
going to choose a library I would definitely choose this because it is the most
sophisticated library for elementary and high school students.
Bulletin BoardDate:February 9, 2013
Reflection/ Narrative Report
What is a bulletin Board? I can’t give a concrete definition but I know what is it,
it’s a wall of information where people read for a certain purpose. When we made this
bulletin Board, I had this presumption that it will turn out into a disaster and it really turn
out just what I had in mind.
Even though what we made turn out to be worse than what we expected, I and
Dea, my group mate, did our best to create that bulletin. We spent many hours thinking
what we will put to the bulletin board and we came up with the idea that turns out to be
a disaster, the notion was we should base our themes on what will be the activity that
will happen in this month and this activity is about art and music. As we preparing our
material, we realize that the space where our bulletin will be put is small and we decide
that we should put the cartolina in it. I suddenly realize, as I design the materials, that
I’m not an artistic person but I didn’t let this ordeal to define me, so instead we switch
our role from being the designer I became the person that will cut the materials that will
be posted in the bulletin. When we finish our bulletin, we consulted our classmates in
the other room about it and they said that it was good and without further ado, we pass
it. During that time we realize that being a teacher isn’t about teaching, the teacher
should possess the skill of being creative ad being an artist in making an instructional
material. Also they should be resourceful because there is a time when the materials
that you need isn’t available and the only thing you can rely on is that the things that you
can see in the surroundings and I know that I don’t possess any of this qualities but I’m
trying to learn this skills to be a better teacher in the near future.
Instructional Materials
Date:February 27, 2013
Reflection/ Narrative Report
When my teacher told me that we need to create an Instructional Materials that
will be used by the teacher that we are observing, I felt excited because I want to learn
how to create a very nice Instructional Materials and this task will be my stepping stone.
Because of my enthusiasm, I asked the teacher that I’m observing about my task after
ma’am Cutab told me about it and on that same day, I made my instructional materials.
During the making, I realize that my skill in making Instructional Material can be
considered mediocre despite this enlightenment I never let it t discourage me, instead, I
was inspired to continue because I learn that I have many things to develop about
myself. After I finished it, I told ma’am Guadalupe, my observing teacher, that what
counts is not the appearance but the contents that counts and she smiled.
Energizers
Date:March 1, 2013
Reflection/ Narrative Report
When ma’am Cutab told me about the task that we are going to do, I suddenly
felt his feelings of being shock and scared. I was shocked because the task is energizer
and I was scared because I don’t know how to perform an energizer. To be honest, I
don’t know anything that involves singing and dancing, so performing an energizer
seems to be a mission impossible. I tried to forget this task but no matter how many
times I try it becomes futile. When I realized that this problem won’t be solve on its own
and I can’t outrun it, I went to St. Michaels’ Basic Education to perform but things turn
from bad to worse because I can’t perform there because there was an activity in that
place and there’s no next time to perform. So, I brainstorm any possible idea that I can
use to complete this task and what suffice is that I have to perform to the college
students and my nervousness increased. I suddenly realize that my teacher won’t
hesitate to fail her students that aren’t deserves to pass and I want to pass ,so, I
perform to the college students and i was embarrassed because my singing and
dancing skill sucks. Even though I was embarrass on what I did deep inside me I felt
relief and I learned my lesson that if I didn’t tried to outrun my problem I won’t be
embarrassed that much.
Mangroves Planting
Date:February 23, 2013
Reflection/ Narrative Report
Before, I thought that mangrove planting is boring but I was wrong, on the
contrary. I felt a sense of happiness, a feeling of personal gratification.
I was lost when I went to the rendezvous point because I got the wrong
information but it was worth it because it’s not the destination that counts but it’s the
journey that matters. Before I arrived at the meeting place I thought I was late because
it’s almost 7 am but most of my classmates aren’t there. At 7:20, we went to Bayug
Island where mangrove planting will take place. On the way, I saw how the typhoon
Sendong ravages the place that result to be abandoned by most of the people that
reside there and if they weren’t cutting trees the damages could be minimized. At that
time, I realized how tree planting affect our environment and if people aren’t
irresponsible a calamity like that could be prevented. As I was enlightened, I felt a sense
of excitement because what I’m going to do is very fulfilling. When I arrived to our
destination I began to plant mangrove because I can’t stop the excitement that I felt, a
feeling that every time you planted mangrove you’ re also helping the mother earth.
Even though I was tired planting, I still helped my classmates to did hole for the planting
and it wasn’t easy because most of the time I dug I always hit a rock that made the
digging harder. After we finish planting mangrove, we ate the food that we brought and
this is the second part that I love the most, to be honest, I was proud of what I did, it’s
an experience that will last until I die and a memory that I will cherish.
Teachers’ Impression on Bulletin Board
To be honest, the teacher didn’t like our Bulletin that’s why four days after we
posted it in the Bulletin Board the teacher replaces it with a Bulletin that is better that
what we made and that was the reason why I didn’t ask for a personal impression from
the teacher because I already know based on her response and reaction when she saw
our bulletin. This teacher didn’t appreciate our works and I understand it even though I
felt sad. I know that we chose the wrong themes and if we are insightful in making a
bulletin this problem could be prevented in a sense that we should choose Valentine’s
Day as a theme instead of Art and Music and we learn a lot about this experience.
