You have 162 class periods to cover 90 lessons.
This plan covers the minimum sections for credit in Pre-Algebra. You may omit Chapter
14 and Sections 4.7, 4.8, 6.8, 10.9, 12.6-12.8, and 13.4-13.6. Each chapter has five or
six extra class days. This will allow you to spend more than one day on more difficult
topics. Section 1.6 covers many concepts on exponents and is one such section where
spending two days is advised. Also consider including the Problem Solving and Math &
Scripture features for some or all chapters. Activities that focus on drilling are available
in the Student Activities.

You have 162 class periods to cover 101 lessons.
This plan covers what most students will be able to accomplish in one year. You may
omit Sections 4.8 and 6.8, which involve operations with bases and scientific notation.
Sections 13.4, 13.6, and 14.7 could also be omitted. Each chapter has four or five extra
class days, so some longer sections could be covered in two class days. Consider using
some of the extra days for the Problem Solving and Math & Scripture features.
