Endeavour Elementary School 5th Grade Merlin Supply List / 2015-2016 (Note: You may reuse any materials from 4th grade that are usable.) Binder Supplies (NOTE: Please organize your binders before school starts. Follow binder organization steps on back to set up your binders.) 3-ring binder, 2 – 3 inch size. Preferably zippered and sturdy enough to last all year. 3-ring binder, 1 inch size – for literacy work 14 Subject Dividers – preferably plastic or with reinforced holes to be durable 3 hole punched notebook paper: approximately will need 150 pages during the year. Cloth or sturdy pencil pouch designed to keep in binder. 1 folder with bottom pockets, 3 hole punched (or you may use the pockets in your 2 – 3 inch binder if it has them) 20 clear plastic sheet protectors Writing Supplies 4 - 6 Mechanical pencils (5 or 7 mm., soft or medium lead), and extra lead/erasers OR 2 packages of No. 2 pencils, individually labeled with your initials to use in class. Only bring 5 or 6 pencils to school at a time. 1 package of No. 2 pencils to contribute to class supply. Do not initial these. 1 -2 erasers 2 highlighters – different colors 3 red pens for correcting 1 plastic pencil supply box for desk, approximately 8” by 4” size – NO LARGER PLEASE Clipboard –8½” by 11” size USB FLASH DRIVE: Used to store and transfer documents from school and home. Mark with your name. (You will be able to use this in middle school as well.) Math Materials Ruler with metric and English units Calculator, Texas Instrument TI-30XS, TI-34 or any similar style calculator (Will use in middle school) 2 grid/graphing composition books – for math notes and assignments. (Keep one at home.) Art Supplies Colored pencils (Crayola or of good quality), box of 24 Crayola crayons, box of 24 Thick Markers, (8-12 colors, good quality) 4 black sharpies (2 fine point, 2 ultra-fine) Set of watercolors (at least 8 colors), Crayola or Prang brand 4 glue sticks Scissors with points, good quality similar to Fiskars Art Supplies (cont.) Set of oil pastels – 12 or 24 set Small personal pencil sharpener Miscellaneous 2 3” x 3” post-it notes Package of index cards Please bring the following items in on your birthday or half-birthday month to donate to our classroom supply : 1 ream of white paper, 1 box Kleenex (100 – 120 tissues), & 1 container of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes Note: Payment for the student planner, Wordly Wise book, Science Weekly, map, and the math problem solving book will be collected in the fall. I will send home information on the exact amount owed then. Optional Supplies (Some students used these supplies last year) Notebook paper hole reinforce stickers / notebook paper reinforcements Whiteout / Liquid Paper Other Your glue, art supplies, colored pencils, markers, and crayons will be kept in a container in the classroom.
