History:
• Ideas of Young Planners Group (YPG) initiated
in 2008
• Sacramento Chapter YPG formed in early
2009, with a “Guide to Young Planners Groups”
• SDAPA YPG was formed in Fall 2009
Success Stories:
• Meet the Board Mixer in February 2010
resulted in 3 new Board positions, all YPG
participants
• SDAPA Mentoring Program rollout was initiated
Fall 2011
• Several YPG’ers have found jobs through the
YPG and SDAPA networking opportunities
