Classrooms with Installed Technology SmartClassrooms Smart Lecture Halls SmartTrailers Other Rooms Helpful Information Other Rooms AIRB 1020 (NACS training lab) and EG 1151 (instructional lab) are two computer labs that contain a SmartClassroom podium. These rooms are NOT general assignment classrooms, and are scheduled exclusively by NACS. Other Rooms Some other schools and departments on campus have followed the SmartClassroom model, installing their own equipment in rooms. Some have very similar podiums and controls, but CTS does not manage the equipment in these other rooms. Classrooms with Installed Technology SmartClassrooms Smart Lecture Halls SmartTrailers Other Rooms Helpful Information Helpful Information Booking the Rooms For classes, departmental SOCCs should book all general assignment rooms through the Registrar’s Office. Events should be coordinated through Scheduling and Conference Services. (x45252) For non-class-related events using equipment, fees may be applied. CTS requires 1 business days notice for SmartClassroom access. Helpful Information Classroom Access Most classrooms are unlocked automatically on weekdays between 7:30am and 10:30pm. For after hours access to most SmartClassrooms, a keycard must be picked up from CTS. Keycards are only active for the room(s) booked on the dates and times of your event. Helpful Information Classroom Access Keycard Readers: Simply hold the card up to the reader until the light turns green. The door will click, unlock for 5 seconds, and then re-lock. Reader styles vary, but they all work the same way. Helpful Information Classroom Access Door hardware and keycard readers vary from building to building Some door handles must be turned to open the door, others do not Be sure to try pulling the door open if the handle does not turn! Helpful Information Computer Issues Users must log into SmartClassroom PCs using their UCInetID and password.
