I used ink for this project. This image is about 14x17 inches. Some elements of art that are in this picture are texture because of how the ink Is layered on and space because of how everything is laid out. in my picture there is contrast because of the colors that I used on the color paper behind the image, it make the image pop. I think that my art work worked out nicely. It interpret what was assigned, my craftsmanship was exceptional. I think that my strong areas are how clearly you can see the face and I achieved this by cutting out the piece of linoleum precisely. My weak areas are the fact that the picture did not fit just right on to the paper it was placed on next time I should cut out the paper I'm printing it on to. I have used this art medium before and I think that my skills did improve, I used this medium very well. I think over all my skill level, craftsmanship and abilities did improve while doing this assignment. In the end I did learn a new style of art and improving my work habits and that you have to be very précis when cutting out the linoleum. I don’t think I will display my art work, and I can take this learning experience and use it later on when I do art again. I this image I used paper for my medium, the image is about 13x13. the element of art that I used was lines, there are so many different lines there different in size shape. In this piece of art work I used the principle of design balance because of how every thing is laid out and spaced out. my notan worked out very well and reflects what we were supposed to do. I did use some time out side of class because I was gone one of the days we worked on it. my strong areas are how well the shapes looked I did that by taking lots of time to make them perfect, and the weak spots are the glue stains that are still on the paper next time I will have to be more carful with the glue. I used the medium very well and this was the first time so I can not do anything but get better. My skills improved a lot and my abilities, I learned a new style of art, work habits and about a new artist. I don’t think I will display my art work anywhere and I can take what I learned and apply it later on when I do art again.
