The course will introduce fundamental knowledge of drawing skills via Autocad.

General introduction of Drawing Software AutoCAD 2014
This section covers the introduction of interface operating software AutoCAD 2014. Through the
introduction, students will have a clear understanding how AutoCAD helps them to express their idea in an
engineering way.

Basic 2D drawing commands
This section introduces basic 2D drawing commands and shortcuts which helps students to work with
AutoCAD efficiently. Also, student will be able to draw an advanced drawing via those commands
independently such as a mechanical component.

Architectural drawing (Floor plan)
This section focus on the procedure of drawing 2D architectural drawing with basic commands taught
previously. After training, students are able to interpret the drawing and draft them independently.

Printing
This section explains how we set up printing area and present a professional drawing layout.

5. Soft skill
:
This course is included to enable students to develop particular communications skills that will enhance their practice as
a (. . XXX). It reflects my position that their practice within the field will require advanced levels of communication to
enable ongoing development (. . XXX).
6. Teaching strategies
1. Using projector for teaching and practicing at the same time.
2. Drawings from existing project will be presented on class.
3. Once the drawing command has been taught, adopt a practice to strengthen memory.
7. Assessment / Achievement
All assessment will be conducted in class. Every introduction of basic commands comes with a practice that
helps to strengthen memory and understand how to use these commands. Furthermore, the Australian
Drafting Standards will be introduced and students will achieve a standardized architectural drawing at the
end of class.
