Wednesday at 4 pm will be the first WAC meeting, we will also be bringing a comedian that evening at 8 pm b.

co-sponsoring with Phi Delt to host a Concert c.

WAC will be hosting a Foam Party at the Commons

Welcome Back b.
I am also looking for a student to come with me to Jefferson City to meet with the Board for Higher Education c.
Defer to Shana for an update regarding that alcohol policy that is being discussed among the board of governors, is there any sort of feedback, positive or negative. i.
Will there be recycling? Logistics are not yet finalized, once passed we will have further details. ii.
Will student police be there? Saint joseph police will be there and more details will come when passed. iii.
Will it be only in a tent as previously discussed? No it will be in assigned lots. iv.
Ironically we decided No on Tobacco but we would support this? v.
Would be vote on this as a senate? It actually would not be voted on unless a NOA was created to support this project. vi.
Would this be able to go into the game? No their most likely will be designated times before and after the games so that will not
allow people to go into their cars and drink during half time and come back into the game. If there was a blatant disregard the policy could be revoked. vii.
This is an opportunity to try and get people to come and hang out.

Last meeting the budget was purposed without the roll over now we will be meeting with the new Administrative Coordinator along with Kathy
Kelly to revisit the budget.

Derek Thompson, Director of Student Relations a.
With being new to the position we are going to postpone the first
September PLC and will have one the first Wednesday in October.

Name Plates are new to Senate if there are any misspelling please come tell me following the meeting b.
Also all NOA’s need to be submitted Wednesday by 5pm prior to the senate meeting, the agendas will then be sent out Friday by 5pm c.
I have also talked to Katy and Dillon regarding making a calendar dress code for senate meetings so you are all aware of what it is ahead of time. d.
Finally I have a list of update for the website that will be sent to Michelle if you have anything you would like added to the website please talk to me after the meeting or send me an email.

Welcome Happy First Day

I would like to announce that we have a new Administrative Coordinated Jessica
Frogge, Welcome!! In closed session we will be discussing Parliamentarian and
Committee Chairs.

The president made news of an announcement of the Jumbo-tron, hope to hear more about that topic soon.
D.
Recently met with Brian and Jacob to discuss the new student fees that were put
in place in order to keep us competitive with other schools.

We will also go to weekly senate meetings rather than biweekly meetings

Open Discussion
A.
Positive feedback regarding bringing people out to the games whereas before it didn’t from the gallery.
B.
Mike every weekend at Northwest and Pit State being able to drink on campus draws people to attend those games which would help bring more people to the games.

How can we prevent this from bringing it into the dorms? i.
We will continue to fallow university policies and procedures
D.
Will it just be university police on campus? i.
The city just recently got a grant that will help possibly bring in university police and possibly undercover cops as well.
