Cassel Winter 2015 Project: Chapter 3 (emphasis on Lesson 3-5) 50 points (Opportunity for 10 bonus points) Due: Monday, December 7, 2015 (3-5 bonus points for turning it in early) NOTE: An internet search is expected. Plagiarism is not allowed. Here is a page from which you may get ideas. Winter Projects Directions: 1. Use graph paper or isometric dot paper. 2. Use a straightedge for segments and axes. 3. Write what is to be graded on a separate loose leaf sheet of paper with your heading. Write your name on the BACK of the project – not the front. Use at least 5 3-D graphs of points (2 points each; 10 points total) from what we learned in Lesson 3-5. On the project, label each of the points you want to be graded with a capital letter A through E. Use at least 5 3-D Equations (25 points) from what we learned in Lesson 2-5. On the project, label each of the equations that you want to be graded with a number 1 through 5 in the shaded region. Traces (15 points): Choose ONE of your 3-D Equations. Write the equation of the xy-trace, the xz-trace and the yz trace. 6. Originality (5 points -- bonus) 7. Failure to follow directions: - 10 points. 8. Late: - 5 points per day. 9.
