Cell Parts that NEED to be identified during your video: Cell DNA/Chromosomes Nucleus Spindle Fibers Centrioles Partner 1: ______________________________ Partner 2:______________________________ Partner 3:______________________________ IPAD being used ___________ DUE DATE: Monday, March 2 (@ the end of the period) Planning Sheet You and your partner(s) will need to plan what materials you will need to represent the cell parts and get your labels created so that when you take pictures, you can focus on just taking pictures rather than getting your materials put together. This video will be covering the process of the cell cycle (most specifically: the phases of mitosis)—interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase, and cytokinesis. Think of this project as a virtual mitosis flipbook! IMotion HD is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. This is known as “stop motion.” Although you will be working with your peers on this project, you will be graded as an individual based on the effort you put forth for this assignment. Below is the list of criteria that will determine your grade for this project. I will provide a checklist each day of my expectations. As always, please use the resources I provide on my webpage as well in order to help you be successful on this project. **DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU WILL ONLY BE USING ONE GROUP MEMBERS IPAD, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU ARE IN COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR GROUP MEMBERS…THIS IS AN IN CLASS PROJECT.** CRITERIA 5 points 4 points 3 points 2 points 0-1 point Are all phases included and labeled? all six phases are labeled and represented five phases are labeled and represented four phases are labeled and represented three phases are labeled and represented two or less phases are labeled and addressed 80% of cell parts are labeled neatly 60% of cell parts are labeled neatly 40% of cell parts are labeled neatly 20% (or lower) cell parts are labeled neatly The cell model mostly depicts the events in mitosis (less than 100 photos) The cell model somewhat depicts the events in mitosis (less than 100 photos) The cell model does not really depict the events in mitosis (less than 100 photos) The cell model does not depict the events in mitosis at all (less than 100 photos) The project is extremely professional and contains zero spelling and grammar errors The project contains minimal spelling and grammar errors The project contains 5+ spelling and grammar errors The project contains 7+ spelling and grammar errors The project contains 10+ spelling and grammar errors N/A N/A Video is 30+ seconds long. Video is between 20-30 seconds. Video is under 20 seconds. N/A N/A N/A The video was creative and used different ideas/material Video seemed to lack creativity and seemed rushed. Are all important cell parts labeled? Does the model resemble the cell during mitosis? (Are your motions correct during each phase?) Is the project professional and free of spelling/grammar errors? The video is at least 30 seconds long. Video demonstrates All important cell parts are labeled neatly (cell, nucleus, DNA/chromosomes , spindle fibers, & centrioles) The cell model accurately depicts the events in mitosis and is clear through a SERIES of photos (minimum of 100 photos) student creativity s.
