Business & Networking Group Inaugural Meeting (Tues. Nov. 3 | 6:30-8:30 | Room 152 Science Center) – Sponsored by MC Career Services,
Combat2College, MOAA, and Serving Together – There will be an expert presentation on using Linked-in in the job search as well as networking time to talk with area employers.
The event is focused on transitioning veterans, but ALL are welcomed!
DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Panel and Presentation (Wed. Nov. 4 | 6:30-8:00 | Room 136 Technical Center) –
Sponsored by the ACES Program, MC Counseling, MC Career Services – A n expert from CASA will give an overview of the history, meaning, and possible future developments for
DACA and talk about it as it relates to MC students/alumni, where to get help, and how to apply for status. Two MC Alumni will speak about their experiences transferring and
working.
Careers in Criminal Justice Day (Mon. Nov. 9
| 11:00-2:00 | Room 015 Campus Center) – Hosted by the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and
Criminal Justice with support from The Office of Student Life and MC Career Services – Students interested in talking with recruitment officers about internship and career
opportunities with local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies are encouraged to attend.
US Public Health Service Pharmacy Corps Information Table (Wed. Nov. 11 | 10:00-2:00 | Campus Center Lobby) – Representatives from the
USPHS will be on hand to talk with students about careers in pharmacy or other healthcare fields and service in the USPHS (a uniformed, but not armed branch of the military).
They will also answer health-related questions such as how to avoid unplanned pregnancy, and how to maximize health and wellness and avoid the dangers of alcohol/drug abuse.

about how to prepare for Cooperative Education/Internship positions and gain valuable experience in your field while still in college.
Careers in Psychology Presentation (Tues. Nov. 17 | 2:00 – 3:00 | Room 136 Technical Center) – Director of UMBC’s Psychology Program at the
Universities at Shady Grove will speak about career options for graduates with Bachelors or Advanced Degrees in Psychology.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Day – Open House (Wed. Nov. 18 | 10:00-3:00 | Rooms 217 & 218 Technical Center) – Meet Applied
Geography faculty, staff, and students as well as representatives from various cartographic agencies! Light refreshments will be served and there will be Geography Games and

Careers in Health & Wellness Panel (Mon. Nov. 23 | 4:00-5:00 | Room 136 Technical Center) –
Hosted by the Department of Health Enhancement,
Exercise Science and Physical Education and MC Career Services – A panel of people with careers in health and wellness (a physical therapist running an in-home personal training
business; the Montgomery College Employee Wellness Program coordinator; a fitness studio manager; and a Certified Health Education Specialist who runs wellness education and
programming for state employees in Northern Virginia) will talk about their career paths and offer advice for students.
