Please remember, although students will see “reading” and “writing” separate on their schedules for a total of two periods per day, I design my plans in a way that encompasses both each day, and I plan more for a block scheduling set-up each week. Periods 3/5 & 6/8: Students will continue to learn and take notes on the paragraph writing technique we call PEPSI and begin to build the class paragraph about Halloween. Friday Period 1: Students will finish short story reading and watch the short film that helps show the plot and elements of fiction. Periods 3/5 & 6/8: Students will finish the story for the first part of class and work on the worksheet. When finished, students will begin writing vocabulary sentences. They will watch a movie version to help clarify some of the unknown. They will work on vocabulary sentences if time permits.
