MEGHAN MCCAIN BIOGRAPHY Meghan McCain was propelled into the national spotlight at an early age and has become a powerful role model for young women and Republicans alike. Sharing her opinions across a variety of media, she passionately discusses news and events, as well as social issues and challenges facing women. Raised in Phoenix, Arizona, McCain is a graduate of Columbia University. While working on her father’s 2008 presidential campaign, she launched a blog, which gained a wide readership almost immediately and received two distinguished awards in politics: The Golden Dot Award for Best Blog and two Pollie Awards from the Association of Political and Public Affairs Professionals. The success of the blog thrust McCain onto the national media scene as a columnist for The Daily Beast and an MSNBC contributor. Inspired by her time on the campaign trail, McCain authored the New York Times bestseller Dirty Sexy Politics: A True Story in 2010. She then went on to write a children’s book inspired by her father’s presidential run. McCain’s latest book, America, You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom, recounts the cross-country road trip that she and the left-wing comedian Michael Ian Black took together in 2011. In 2013, McCain launched her genre-busting docu-talk series Raising McCain on Pivot, Participant Media’s television network aimed at millennials. The series followed the outspoken McCain on the road talking to unexpected experts and everyday people, and exploring a range of topics. She then co-hosted Pivot’s late-night news program TakePart Live - a nightly show decoding the news stories of the day with irreverence and insight, pointing viewers to related actions. In July 2015, McCain joined Premiere Networks as host of the nationally syndicated radio program America Now, which broadcasts live on weekdays from 3 - 6 p.m. PT/6 - 9 p.m. on 100 affiliates. The program is also available on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio mobile app, iHeartMedia's free all-in-one streaming music and live radio service, and AmericaNowRadio.com. Each day on America Now, McCain discusses the news, information and events that matter most to the daily lives of Americans, from a millennial point of view. From business and politics, to entertainment and social issues, America Now welcomes a variety of guests and experts, and features McCain’s candid, passionate take on the latest local, national and global headlines. --more-- Page 2 McCain is also a FOX News contributor, and serves on the National Board of Directors for GLAAD.
