Brand new scholarship opportunity for Accounting majors 2014 Becker Scholarship This year we are awarding up to 6 scholarships to members who show true commitment to SAFA This is done through Attendance to 1 of the 2 kick offs Attendance to 1 of the 2 charity events Attendance to 13 of the 16 weekly events If you need to miss an event, provide a legitimate excuse such as class or exams and it will not effect your attendance. Write a short essay pertaining to a prompt chosen by the exec board What is the scholarship? A 50% off credit for the CPA exam provided by Becker $1,600 value Freshmen/Sophomore Rep Freshmen and sophomores have the chance to apply for the rep position Number of positions is to be decided The freshmen/sophomore reps will act as fill in exec board members and attend board meetings and help with board actions and activities What’s the idea? The idea is that by the end of the year you will have an idea of how to run the group, and with a little help you will run for the board and replace this year’s executives Highly recommended! Why? Join PricewaterhouseCoopers for a Boat Cruise on the Mississippi River! This will be a fun, informative event and a great chance to learn more about career opportunities within public accounting and PwC! This event is geared towards all class levels who are interested or have declared a major in either Accounting or MIS and are seeking a job opportunity.
