Class Activities:
 Complete discussion of Beowulf Part 7 (with notes)
 Introduce 3 Levels of Questioning strategy. (PowerPoint)
 Have students read Parts 8 – 10
 Using the questioning strategy, students should apply the strategy to each individual part.
 Post it Review
1. Have students put questions for each part on individual post it notes.
2. Students will place their post it note questions on the board and choose questions
from another person.
3. Students will answer the questions they have chosen. Then we will share these
questions
Homework: Complete questions; work on resume (due Wednesday)
Day 2:
Bell Ringer: Twelfth Night #4 (take up 3 and 4 for a grade)
Class Activities:
 Turn in college resume to Canvas
 Read and discuss Part 11
 Complete the questions under “Reading Check” and “Making Meaning” questions on
pg. 38. Turn in for a grade
 Read and discuss Parts 12 and 13 of Beowulf
 Act out the fight between Beowulf and Grendel’s mama
 Read and discuss Parts 14 – 17 with notes
