MEASUREMENT PLATFORM
ISPTEST MEASUREMENT SYSTEM EXISTS FROM 2007
• Measurement platform is based on Visualware
measurement platform (www.visualware.com)
• User interfaces and access tools are designed by two
Latvian companies
• This is a common measurement platform for both wire
and wireless types of broadband
Access to measurement tool http://itest.sprk.gov.lv
Visualware platform allows to measure more parameters

MEASUREMENTS PROVIDED
REGULAR TEST
• Modems available in operators service centres in
current year January were used
• During the year 2012 in 200 places and during year
2013 7 months in 95 places measurements across the
country were provided
• 5 measurements in every mobile internet access
providers network were made in each place
• 3 GSM/UMTS (BITE, LMT, TELE2) and 1 CDMA
(Triatel) mobile internet access providers in Latvia were
tested

TOP 20 MEASUREMENTS
• Modems available in operators service centres
in August were used
• Measurements in 20 largest cities in 3-10 places
• 3 GSM/UMTS and 1 CDMA mobile internet
access providers were tested
• 5 measurements to every mobile internet
access providers network were made in any place

• 24 hours tests will be provided in 10-15 places
where:
− will be measured QoS parameters values for
all mobile internet access service providers 24
hours a day 7 days a week
− all modems operate via Ethernet switch
− measurement tool will be placed in post
offices
