Dr. John A. Wojtecki - Biography Doctor John A. Wojtecki brings over 36 years of experience in Human Resources, Safety, and Training serving the toy, food, plastics, steel, and office furniture industries. Most recently, John managed the Leadership Development function for those who were new and experienced managers. John has been an online instructor for the University of Phoenix in Human Resources, Instructional Design and Technology for the Adult Learners. He serves as an adjunct for both Iowa Wesleyan College and Muscatine Community College for Human Resources and Organizational Behavior courses. John has started two Human Resource functions in the food and plastics industries. He is a recipient of the C.M. Stanley Award for Excellence at HNI and was named the 2006 Part-Time Instructor of the Year for Iowa Wesleyan College. Education John has a Ph.D. in Education from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The dissertation and coursework were with an emphasis in Instructional Design for Online Learning. He earned a Master’s Degree in Training and Development from Drake University. The degree was earned taking courses via the ICN (Iowa’s Fiber Optic network). John is certified as an instructor for DDI’s interviewing course and PDI’s Impact Without Authority course. He was a speaker at the 2012 ICELW (International Conference on E-Learning in the Workplace) and spoke on delivering content via Skype. John is currently studying Intermediate and Advanced Moodle for delivering Online Learning for an adult audience. John holds an S.P.H.R. from the Society of Human Resource Management. John is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, and attended Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland earning a degree in Economics. Volunteer Activities John is currently Board Chair for Musser Public Library in Muscatine. John is a trained Mediator with the Scott County Court and mediates in small claims court twice each month. John also serves as a SCORE volunteer once per month assisting entrepreneurs in business strategy issues. He also helps with the Human Resources Committee of the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce.
