Have the learning objective for the day clearly displayed to be
used as a focus for instruction
Follow the Scope and Sequence and Lesson Frameworks with
Fidelity
Utilize your common planning time for subject/ grade level
teachers to coordinate with each other
Attend all campus and district science meetings and schedule
a time to share the information with the rest of the
appropriate teachers
Ensure Investigations are occurring as well as activities to
insure that students are learning all aspects of the TEKS

Middle School - 70 up to 80 minutes each night
• Reading/English/Writing 25–30 minutes 3–5 times a week
• Science 20–25 minutes 2–3 times a week
• Math 20–25 minutes 4 times a week
• Social Studies 20–25 minutes 2–3 times a week
Middle School STEM
 2400 MS STEM students (up from 2199)
 Students must be enrolled in a STEM science and
STEM math course or Algebra course.
(Students considering STAMP must successfully complete
Algebra course in 8th grade)
 4 Project-based learning experiences throughout the
year that follow the district scope and sequence for
math and science.
(The PBLs are noted on the Scope and Sequence and in the
Frameworks.)
