CenterPoint Receives Perfect Score in Report and Data Submission Requirements
for Third Quarter of FY 2013
On July 11, 2013, the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health,
Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services (DMH/DD/SAS) released Amended
Performance Contract Requirement Reports for Report Submission and Data Submission for the
second and third quarters of State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2013. These reports show each Local
Management Entity’s (LME’s) performance on submission of reports and data required in the
SFY 2013 Performance Contract Reports document.
During the second quarter, CenterPoint scored 100 percent in report submission measures and 78
percent in data submission measures. The State’s standard is 65 percent. For the third quarter 
January, February and March 2013  CenterPoint was one of only three LMEs in the state to
score 100 percent in every measurement category of both reports. CenterPoint implemented the

Provider Alert: Update on Medicaid/NCTracks
Last week we posted important information for providers who are serving Medicaid enrollees. Click
HERE for to download a printable PDF of that information.
Provider Alert: Unmanaged Outpatient Visits
CenterPoint is very aware that many providers are frustrated by the inability to continue to use
unmanaged visits for adults or children once an authorization for out –patient services has been requested.
At this point, once an authorization request is submitted by any provider for the enrollee/individual, the
unmanaged visits are no longer available as of the date of the authorization request. Please try to indicate
a start date for an authorization request for continued out-patient to begin as close to the anticipated end
date for the unmanaged visits.
Please be advised that Customer Services (CS) is working on a plan to provide accurate information
regarding availability of unmanaged visits to providers at the point of referral on the STR form. However,
the information that they will eventually be able to provide will be based on PAID claims (not submitted).
As providers have 90 days to submit claims, the information CS provides may have a significant lag time.
We are looking at additional ways to support providers regarding unmanaged visits but at this time, this is
what we are able to do.
At this point in the fiscal year you may consider requesting an authorization for out-patient services
quickly for Medicaid enrollees.(January-December fiscal year). The fiscal year for state funded services
(IPRS) began July 1.
NC Medicaid Alert: “What You Need to Know” Fact Sheet Now Available
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has published an informative,
single-page fact sheet of information for providers. Click HERE for a printable PDF of the sheet.
Please note: This information does not apply to Medicaid claims for behavioral health services
that should be submitted to the Local Management Entity/Managed Care Organization
(LME/MCO).
Perception of Care Survey Has Ended
CenterPoint coordinated a consumer Perception of Care Survey with provider offices between the dates of
June 24 – July 7. We have collected all of the surveys and would like to thank our providers and
consumers for taking the time to participate. Your cooperation is important in helping to maintain high
quality mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities and substance abuse services for Forsyth,
Stokes, Davie and Rockingham Counties.

CenterPoint IS Help Desk Notice: Providers Experiencing Issues Attaching Files to
ZixMail
ZixMail’s web interface reports issues when attempting to attach files to ZixMails when using Internet
Explorer. There are two easy workarounds. Note that this only affects our providers who are using the
ZixMail web interface.
Summary: ZixMail reports that Microsoft introduced this bug into Internet Explorer (IE) version 9 (IE9)
by way of a recent security update.
There are two possible workarounds:
Workaround #1:
The work-around is to use IE's "Private Browsing" command to reach ZixMail. If you have a 'Tools'
menu showing at the top of IE, clicking on that menu and using the command "InPrivate Browsing" or
the shortcut CTRL-SHIFT-P will allow you to successfully surf to the ZixMail site and attach files
interface (https://web1.zixmail.net/s/welcome.jsp?b=cphs).
Workaround #2:
Firefox does not have this issue, so it may be used in place of IE.
