Rock and roll was born in 1954 with Bill Haley’s song “Rock Around the Clock”, and then, appeared the first figure of rock, Elvis Presley.
This music is a mix of country and rhythm&blues.
Bill Haley (July 6, 1925 –
February 9, 1981) was one of the first American rock and roll musicians. He is credited by many with first popularizing this form of music in the mid-1950s with his group Bill Haley & The Comets and their hit song "Rock Around the Clock".

60’s
The hippie movement, was born in the U.S.
“protest song”, these songs included war messages and political protest,etc. The gratest exponent of this style was Bob Dylan. Rock expanded very rapidly across Northamerica and later Europe.

Stones.
The Doors were an American rock & roll band. It was formed in
1965 in Los Angeles, California.
The vocalist was Jim Morrison; the keyboard player, Ray Manzarek; the drummer, John Densmore, and guitarist, Robby Krieger. The
Doors' music was a fusion of psychedelic rock, hard rock, blues-rock, and acid rock.

80’s
The decade of the eighties was characterized by the wide diversity of music in style, variety form and aesthetics, thanks to the birth of several subgenres of rock (new wave, post-punk, techno, dark, electronic, rap, breakdance, dark metal, new romantic ...), that were joined to the scene over the decade.
AC/DC are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and
Angus Young. Although the band are commonly classified as hard rock, and considered pioneers of heavy metal, they have always classified their music as "rock and roll".
AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High
Voltage , in 1975. Membership remained stable until bassist Mark Evans was replaced by Cliff Williams in 1977. In 1979, the band recorded their highly successful album Highway to Hell . Lead singer and cosongwriter Bon Scott died on 19 February
1980, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but soon ex-Geordie singer
Brian Johnson was selected as Scott's replacement. Later that year, the band released their best-selling album, Back in
Black .
90’s
