My Speeches Is communicate 1020 is a great class? All of people in class said yes. I am agrees that. I took this class because I requirement my major. I need to stronger in public speaking. The most challenging speeches for me were the narrative speech, impromptu speech, informative speech, and persuasive speech. Not for was it difficult to research. I realized and came to appreciate hard work on that. First, narrative speech this was a lot of fun. I have so shake when I speak. This was my first to speak in the front of an audience. I felt great. All of my classmates were very fun to talk. While my classmates turn to speak, I had learned some tips from them. I had listened carefully from them. It helps me stay alert and interested. I had learned from them and prepare many things for me. Although my topic was not the same with their topic, I have learned a lot from them. I was very like it. Second, an impromptu speech was fun. My instructor made this very real life. I was surprise when he showed to us many little papers with different sentences. I can’t forget us just picking topic and talk. In the class were fun and the voiced laugh from each person when we saw the topic. My sentence was “why a dog slopped”. At that time, I though how to speak on that. I was not easy. I needed to use action to show to the class. Instead I had confident to speak and I got a good point in my topic. Third, an informative speech was even more in depth. My instructor was always reminds us about thesis statement. I have prepared my paper with many times. I have interest when I had chosen the topic. It was difficult for me because I learn to write outline, construct research to made works cited and organize my speech. I tried to figure out what do first and made each point connection. I had practice many times before I spoke in class. When I turned in my paper to my instructor, I was confident. So when he gave back to me, I had a lot of mistake and I had learned from my mistake. It was so difficult, so fun, but I have learned a lot from this speech. Fourth, a persuasive speech was difficult. I worked hard on this. It was fun. I like. It was the same with informative speech. When I wrote down outline, I had remembered the main point. It was helpful me when I speaking. More important, I required to using power point to show in class when I was speaking. I like work on power point. My instructor taught us how to use power point before we presentation. I learned about audience a lot and able to works cited. I would have to say my favorite speech was the applied persuasive speech. It was a lot of fun to speak on my topic. I speak about “cause of stress” It was from financial. Learning to identify persuasive speech with ethos, pathos, and logos. It has helped me a lot. I like to use emotion to motivate and to persuade people. I never stopped to learn in this class.
