Letter of Intention Dear Mr or Mrs, I’m Duong Viet from Vietnam. I study International Business in Finland. During the years in Europe, I have travelled to 20 countries approximately. As a student, most of the time travelling I spent in hostels. At the very beginning, I was impressed with the designs, the modern, the friendly and welcome atmospheres and the human connectivity feature of the hostels in Europe. I stayed at Wombat hostels, Plus hostels, Generator hostels and many other hostels. I see the difference and the attraction of being in hostels in Europe, and I decided to write my thesis about running a hostel based on the lean start up theory. I found my motivation to work in hospitality industry since the first days of travelling in Europe. I like to learn new things, to work with people and to help people. I believe I can add more value to the Vietnam Backpacker hostel team. I study International Business which focuses on the cultural diversity and international marketing activities on different cultural zones. Besides, I study in a multinational learning environment and also spent months to travel around Europe. So I believe that my open perspective will help me easily to catch up with the work requirement as well the hostel working culture. I’m an outgoing, extrovert, committed and responsible man. My hobby is playing football, and practicing martial art. I also spend time for jogging and photography. I love to explore new things and help other people. Every man has his own story and his own value. That is why I like to communicate with others, work and learn from them. Moreover, I’m also a hardworking man, which can be seen at my CV. I experienced a lot of jobs in Finland to support my live here. I’m also an organized and fast learner. I have to balance my time for working and studying. Despite that I finished my study 1 year earlier than the schedule thanks to my ability to organize things since working and studying at the same time. Finally, during the time in university in Vietnam I also took a job related to hospitality so I know how to handle a job which requires multi-task skill and working against pressure. I hope I would be one of the team in Vietnam Backpacker hostel soon. Yours faithfully, Viet Duong Duc Viet
