Web Site Banner
1. Create a banner in Photoshop (no larger than 960 wide x 100 high – in pixels).
Decide on theme of colors for your web site BEFORE you create your banner. These colors will dictate
the colors for your site’s banner, page background colors, font colors and more.
2. Create large & clear company name text (drop shadow, bevel, etc. so that your text looks 3-D). I
must be the most obvious text on your web page: large, striking (excellent contrast to the background
color) and easy to read so that the viewer remembers the name of your web site.
3. A tagline
4. Use a background color that compliments with the colors & text of your theme colors on your page.
5. A related image - Do not just drag and drop a square image that has not been changed at all onto your
banner if you want full credit. Show me that you have “photoshoped” it in some way to improve
how it looks on your banner.
Site Colors
1. Banner must fit in header container on index page.
2. Change the colors of all container areas (body, content, sidebar & footer) to compliment your banner on
the index page.
