Partner Country Switzerland a market leader in digital innovation
CeBIT’s official Partner Country in 2016 is Switzerland. The event is thus
highlighting one of the leading countries around the globe in the use of
digital technologies. Switzerland is one of the world's most innovative
countries, an internationally recognized research and development hub,
one of the wealthiest countries in the world – and is at the cutting edge
when it comes to implementing digitalization strategies. The first place to
explore is the Swiss Central Pavilion in Hall 6.
Business and politics in dialogue at the CeBIT Global Conferences
The CeBIT Global Conferences in Hall 8 are the highlight of the CeBIT
conference program. Over the course of four days, international
business and government leaders get together to discuss current and
future trends in the digital universe. The 2016 themes are d!conomy,
The Internet of Everything, Security & Privacy and Disruptive
Technologies. A centerpiece of the conference program is the new
annual conference on the European Union's Digital Agenda with EU
Commissioner Günther H. Oettinger. Rock the Blog – the event by, with
and about bloggers – will once again be held on the final day of CeBIT,
following its very successful premiere at CeBIT 2015.
SCALE11 – portraying the entire startup ecosystem
SCALE11 in Hall 11 features all of the innovations, aspiring
entrepreneurs, established players and interested investors essential to

and inspiring surroundings – with a conference program, pitches,
workshops, speed dating and rich networking opportunities.
Developer World – bringing software developers together
Developer World in Hall 11 is an exhibition, networking zone and
conference stage that serves as both meeting place and marketplace for
software developers. This event hosted by Heise Medien is directed
towards software development and engineering companies, as well as
web developers and software architects, analysts and testers. The
conference program includes trending topics such as distributed
systems, microservices, containerization, DevOps, big data and the
Internet of Things.
IoT SOLUTIONS – putting the spotlight on the Internet of Things
For the first time CeBIT is presenting the hot topic of the Internet of
Things in a dedicated display: IoT SOLUTIONS in Hall 13 features IoT
solutions for users in a variety of sectors. This new showcase focuses
on networking and digitalization of value chains, products, processes
and services.
Communication & Networks – ensuring efficient communication
The Communication & Networks area, also in Hall 13, is the perfect
complement to IoT SOLUTIONS. Visitors can find technologies and
solutions for networked communication and IT infrastructures – from
broadband solutions to M2M and Unified Communications. The M2M/IoT
pavilion with its cross-industry solutions for machine-to-machine
communication and the Internet of Things is also new.

DatacenterDynamics – everything needed to future-proof data
centers
The DatacenterDynamics at CeBIT showcase in Hall 12 brings together
everything to do with the data center of the future. Digitalization is also
having a huge impact on the data center market, leading to ever greater
demands in terms of availability, data volume and security. Storage
solutions, server technologies and cloud-based IT services are being
presented for the first time alongside “classic” data center themes. The
related conference will be exploring “Open Source / Open Compute”
questions, with attendance free of charge for all CeBIT visitors.
Business Security –
championing the cause of thwarting
cyberattacks
The Business Security display in Hall 6 shows companies how to protect
themselves from cyberattacks. Visitors interested in a “security check”
can consult with experts in antivirus solutions, e-mail security and cloud
& Internet security, as well as overall network security. The integral
Business Security Forum gives companies valuable input on every
aspect of IT security. Prestigious exhibitors from the security sector are
presenting their products and services at the CeBIT Security Plaza.
Research & Innovation – putting creative ideas in close touch with
business players
As of 2016, the Research & Innovation showcase is being staged at its
new home in Hall 6. There, research centers and institutes, universities
and businesses will be sharing the latest fruits of their research at
CeBIT’s central R&D hub, offering everyone a glimpse of things to come
in the digital world. The centrally located “future talk forum” offers a
series of presentations, social events, prize-giving ceremonies and

Public Sector Parc – taking public administration to new heights
The Public Sector Parc in Hall 7 showcases the full breadth of IT
solutions and applications for use in public administration, to show how
digitalization in the public sector can work to everyone's advantage and
generate massive cost savings. The latest federal and state projects as
well as innovative initiatives from the IT planning council are presented
in the special Government for You section, featuring De-Mail, social
media tools, open government concepts and more.
Planet Reseller – fine-tuned to the needs of retailers and
purchasing agents
In the Planet Reseller specialist reseller area, ICT wholesalers, channel
managers, IT consultants and buyers find solutions for the latest ITsector retail trends – cloud, mobility, UCC (Unified Communication and
Collaboration), as well as smart buildings and lighting. Industry experts
discuss cutting-edge topics in the CRN (Computer Reseller News) TV
studio throughout the duration of the trade show. Interviews and expert
discussions focus on the current market situation and the associated

Global Sourcing Area – prime marketplace for procurement pros
The Global Sourcing Area in Halls 16 and 17 is the international

ECM / Input-Output Solutions – digitizing standard processes
Exhibitors at CeBIT’s ECM / Input-Output Solutions showcase in Hall 3
are showing how standard business processes can be digitized with the
help of modern solutions from the field of enterprise content
management. Topics include the storage and processing of documents,
electronic invoicing and compliance with standards and regulations, as
well as collaboration tools, mobile cloud-based ECM solutions and the
latest print, copy and scan systems. The ECM Forum is featuring some
60 presentations on topical ECM issues.
Marketing & Sales Solutions – injecting sales with digital power
For the first time CeBIT is pooling marketing, sales and customer service
offerings in a new display located in Hall 4. Companies participating in
the Marketing & Sales Solutions showcase are highlighting the latest
technical advances for integrated sales and digitally supported
marketing.

management, marketing automation and e-mail marketing, customer
relationship management and integrated marketing infrastructures.
ERP & HR Solutions – tools for efficient planning and management
Hall 5 is home base for providers of ERP (Enterprise Resource
Planning) and HR (Human Resources) systems as key tools for the
efficient planning and management of enterprise resources. The parallel
ERP Forum addresses topics such as Industry 4.0, modern HR
management, multi-channel retailing and smart services. Users, analysts
and providers are presenting case studies, discussing potential solutions
and explaining ERP and HR strategies. The HR Round Table network
invites visitors to hear presenters from the user industries and describes
the latest developments in HR, with plenty of time for dialogue and

SME Campus (“Campus Mittelstand”) – giving small businesses a
digital boost
“Campus Mittelstand” at the heart of Hall 5 is the most important spot at
CeBIT for owner-operators of small and medium-sized companies who
want to leverage digitalization for economic benefit. The question here is
not so much whether, but how they can best go digital. Campus
Mittelstand is a joint project of CeBIT and the “digitize your business”
small business initiative.
The “job and career” hub at CeBIT
CeBIT is veritably the largest job mart for employers and job seekers in
the digital business sector, with opportunities galore – both at exhibitors’
stands and in the dedicated “job and career” area of Hall 11 that
companies use to present their open positions to job seekers in
presentations and on the multimedia Jobwall. The event also includes
presentations offering valuable guidance as well as training programs
and tips on career advancement and personal development.
