Art II
Art II is a class like no other art
class you have taken so far in your
school career. It is a relaxing and
enjoyable classroom environment
that allows for creative juices to
flow. Unlike Art I, students will
work on multiple self-lead project
that allow students to have a bit
more independence in the creation
process. Students will also explore
many art careers both through
self-exploration and guest speaks.
Students will be exposed to real
life situations where they must
meet with customers, brainstorm
ideas, prepare works for customer
consideration as well as working
within production teams to
execute a finished product.

Students will discover the early history of
computers and how they have advanced
over the years. Students will be introduced
to the world of computer animation by
creating their own animation in Adobe
Flash. This will then lead into a Computer
Aided Design Program that will teach you
how to create a virtual 3D model. The last
part of the semester is focused on game
design and development. Students will
learn what it takes to develop a video game
and use these skills to create computer code
to design your own video game.

Students will discover
how to create, design,
prototype and market a
product they have
developed. This class is
intended to help students
advance their skills in the
engineering and design
world, while learning
how to operate shop
equipment.
Academic Assist
If all of your required courses have been taken & there is room
in your schedule, you may choose to take academic assist.
• You may have to make some tough
choices – you only have 9 periods…
• You may take a semester or a fullyear academic assist
• If you want an academic assist,
please indicate that by circling it on
your form.

Automatic High School Credit
• Algebra I, Global language, Biology, etc. are taken for high school
credit.
• You cannot choose whether or not to accept the credit – it will
automatically appear on your high school transcript.
• High school transcripts are used in the college acceptance process,
military enlistment process, and are viewed by prospective
employers.
• If you take a high school class and do not like the grade you
receive, you can retake the class and the new grade will replace
the old grade.

March 25th – Forms are due
August 12th – Schedules will be in portal
August 11th & 12th - 7th grade orientation
