Fiji and Tahiti, both exotic and beautiful, feature colorful similarities and dramatic historical differences. A former British colony, Fiji is now an independent nation with a diversified economy. Tahiti is even more scenically dramatic than Fiji. Although Polynesian culture has been suppressed for more than a hundred years of French influence, Tahiti is still a fascinating place to visit.
