An agreement between one university and one company to develop an strategic research project in which the doctorate student will do his or her training that has to finalize with the PhD dissertation. What does it mean “Industrial PhD project co-financed for the Catalan Government”? •A collaboration agreement for three years. •PhD student hired by the company. •Average gross annual remuneration: € 22,000. •Work centre company located in Catalonia. •Dedication exclusive of the doctoral project. The Government of Catalonia fund: •Fees and tuition rates for the candidate in the doctoral program. •Tutoring company. •Exchange mobility of PhD. • 30 hours of cross training for the first year. •Finance SGR group for the project. •Indirect costs (overheads) produced at the university. •Costs associated with the coordination, if applicable. Added, PhD students on the Industrial project are trained in the following transversal competences: •Leadership, coordination and management of R & D. •Transfer of research results. •Development of new businesses, entrepreneurship, business management, and funding sources. •Patents, intellectual property and industrial property. This cross-training will last 60 hours, divided into two parts: a) 30 hours in the first year common to all students who participate in the Plan and financed by Government of Catalonia. b) 30 hours, during the execution of the project by the company and / or the university.
