Role Description We have an experienced, dedicated team focused on the Media, Technology & Telecomms sectors. As such, the team is responsible for driving revenue through maintaining and building long-term relationships with the clients we work with. At the end of all projects, our clients receive commercially robust, fact-based deliverables to help them communicate plans clearly with their stakeholders. We are looking for an analyst/ researcher with a tendency towards quantitative consumer research. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years’ experience in a similar organisation with established skills and a strong interest in quantitative method and analysis. Key elements of the role: Overall: responsible for the timely completion of external and internal project tasks. • Act as team member on projects providing data gathering, analysis and interpretation of quantitative data Develop robust market models across multiple markets, industries, companies, product-sets and time-series Draft well written, structured reports, making appropriate use of business English Work on and develop compelling and accurate PowerPoint slides Develop logical summary conclusions and recommendations Proactively seek and acquire an understanding of and exposure to our basic skill set, including: qualitative and quantitative research, NPD/branding/ business intelligence, marketing theory & application Show an obsessive attention to detail at all times Independently build relationships with client staff Organise and document work in a thorough and transparent manner Act as a mentor/coach to new recruits Understand KAE brand, values, competence areas and be able to convey them clearly in client situations Candidate Profile 1st or 2:1 class degree and strong academics are essential; candidates with an Economics degree are preferred, but science graduates with strong Mathematics & Statistics will also be considered for this role; in any case, your quantitative skills are expected to be at Master level Quantitative research experience ranging from research design and questionnaire development to the structured analysis of data to develop meaningful, commercial recommendations Experienced Excel and SPSS user with knowledge of advanced quantitative techniques, including key driver analysis, segmentation and predictive analysis. Familiarity with conjoint design and analysis would be desirable and survey programming (e.g. Sawtooth or Confirmit) would be a plus An eye for detail is essential and a passion and interest in marketing science, quantitative analysis, statistics and modelling is sought Experience in creating compelling PowerPoint presentations and delivering them confidently Commercial awareness and understanding of core economic principles Able to demonstrate the capacity for creativity and original thinking Able to demonstrate great attention to detail in their work, including precise written English An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills Demonstrable experience of working in a demanding environment and be able to efficiently manage time, motivate colleagues, be enthusiastic and also diplomatic Exposure to and an interest in media, technology and telecommunications would be an advantage Due to the international nature of our projects, the role may involve occasional international travel and fluency in a foreign language would be an advantage We are seeking intelligent and energetic candidates who strive in a fast-paced but highly collaborative environment and who can leave their mark and enhance our set of competencies.
