 The glossary pages are now live and can be found on the Use Case section of the Wiki. Definitions will be
added beginning 8/3/12.
 A Pilots survey/interest form will be posted to the Wiki by the end of the week.
Data Element Development (DED) SWG Update

The DED SWG met on 8/1/12 and revised some metadata elements. Offline they are drafting some rules and
elements and will present their final draft for discussion at the next Workgroup meeting. Additionally the DED
participation information is now posted on the Wiki.
Communities of Interest
Sue Bosivert led the WG through her draft of the Communities of Interest section. After further comment, the
group expanded upon the list (below) and those proposing new members to Communities of Interest table agreed
to define them respectively. The revised Communities of Interest table will be posted to the Wiki for comment.

Review of Use Case 1 Diagrams, Actors, Value Statement, and Background

Use Cases 1 and 2 will have their own set of diagrams.
An Assumption or Pre-condition will be added indicating that an Artifact Supplier will be certified to provide
artifacts to a given Integrator.
Jonathan Teich will present a content diagram at the next WG meeting, showing linkages among the
various tables in Use Case 1.
In the Activity Diagram for Use Case 1, the focus is simplicity.
Rob McClure will work with the Use Case team to refine the User Stories to create structure for the DED
SWG.



Kim Nolen suggested that developing a clinical example would be important to shed light on the base flow
diagram. A new section devoted to this clinical example will be created, drawing upon the Background
section written by Ken Pool. Two other volunteers (Laura Hermann Langford and Susan Campbell)
agreed to help Kim with this.
In the System Requirements diagram, the Artifact Repository was edited to also include “provide metadata
about the CDS Artifact.”
There was a debate on whether the scope of this Use Case is to define repository standards or to define
transaction standards. The group agreed to define the standardized format for the artifact (including
payloads and metadata elements). Afterward, the standardization can expand to include communication
protocols and defining transaction standards
