In the last 1-2 months…

Templates created to guide units through their contribution to the
Student/Staff Constitution and Service Standards

Templates were completed and returned in early-mid April
Result: A document that provides:

An overview of responses including themes, pressing issues,
potential synergies

A 1-page question by question summary including strengths,
concerns, recommendations

A detailed list of departmental responses grouped by survey
question in order to provide a comprehensive guide

Constitution and Service Standards
Over the next 1-2 months…
 By Monday, May 15th all Directors in SAS will have received the
Student/Staff Constitution summary document
 Key training/resource issues will be highlighted and be incorporated into
the Staff Investment Plan for SAS

By the end of July, units in SAS will post the Service Standards
document as well as the Student/Staff Constitution

In the last 1-2 months…



Finalized an organizational chart for the new
department
We have begun a national search for a new Associate
Director to oversee the department. Interviews will be
conducted over the next few weeks.
Created a new position responsible for assessment of
both the residence and student experience curriculum
plan.


Finalized an organizational chart for the new department

We have conducted a national search culminating in the hire of
Alexandra Love who, in her last position, was the Director, Health and
Wellness, University of Toronto: Scarborough

Finalized drawings for interim renovations to increase capacity in Health
Services and make an internal walkway connecting Counselling and
Health

Counselling Services had a staff retreat that included a rep. from Health
Services and two reps. from the Chaplains’ Centre

Over the next 1-2 months…

Welcome Alexandra Love to campus on June 12th

Begin a search for an AD Wellness (Counselling), finalize arrangements
around the AD Wellness (Chaplains’), and Senior Physician (Health)

Develop a staff retreat designed to bring together the three departments
and allow them to begin developing a “vision” of Wellness for the
campus and discuss opportunities for integration and collaboration

Renovations will commence and be completed
