Enter your username (s######) and password. Click on the “My Planner” tab. Click on “Tasks Assigned to Me” (in purple). Click on “SuperMatch College Search” Select the “SuperMatch College Search” in the blue box Start the college inventory – filling in categories on the left side of the screen (orange boxes) With your results, begin to add colleges you are interested in to your Naviance list by clicking on “add to list” Add at least two colleges to your list! Survey Time!!! Click on “About Me” tab. Click on “Junior Unit Survey 15-16” on the upper left side of the screen. Complete Survey and log out of Naviance. Academic Help Inside CPSHS Cougar Catch-Up: After School Help with Staff Students are invited to make appointments with teachers after-school for at least 30 minutes to receive homework help, discuss their grades and make up assignments and/or tests. Students are eligible to receive a city bust token afterwards. Talk to your individual teacher to make an appointment or refer to the Cougar Catch-Up Schedule. SAC: Tutoring The Student Academic Center, room 1106, (located near the front of the school – next to the athletic office) provides homework help Mondays thru Thursdays from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Tutors are available, as well as computers, textbooks and supplies. Students must be working for at least 30 minutes to be eligible for a city bus token. The Sanneh Foundation provides personnel for this program. Stop in to check on availability. Teachers and counselors can help you make appointments for tutoring. Academic Help Outside CPSHS Saint Paul Public Library Homework Rescue Homework Rescue provides a variety of free tutoring services in both English and Spanish. One-to-one online homework help is available every day from 1pm-11pm! All you need to do is go to: www.sppl.org/services/homework-help/homework-rescue and log on with your library bar code, or go to any St. Paul Library for more information. Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute (MOI) The Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute is a tutoring center with a twist! The MOI, located on University Ave and Randolph (2388 University Ave W), provides free after-school tutoring for ALL students Monday thru Thursday from 3:00pm-6:00pm. They are uniquely disguised as an Oceanographic Institute to add quirkiness to their center. For more information, contact them at 613.367.7827 or visit www.moi-msp.org. What to do if you need to make up credits. Evening High School ● ● ● ● Classes are offered every quarter at Gordon Park High School (ALC) between 3:15pm and 8:45pm, Monday through Thursday Each class is usually 1½ hours long, 2 evenings per week. Classes and subjects offer varies by quarter. Students need a referral form from their counselor to attend – see your counselor for more information! Summer School ● Students who are behind in credits will be assigned to attend summer school. Additional Opportunities at Como Park: 1. Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO): Taking college classes while earning high school credit. Available to Juniors and Seniors that qualify (Top 1/3 of class for juniors; Top ½ of class for Seniors). Please see your counselor for details. 2. Career Pathways: Taking college classes with other high school students at St. Paul College. Classes will give you an introduction to potential career fields. Must be in the top 33% of Junior class or the top 50% of senior class. Please see your counselor for details. 3. Genesys Works: Available to Como Park Juniors. Juniors take summer classes to prepare for working in a professional setting. During their senior year, they will work in the Informational Technology departments of various corporations throughout the city. Please see your counselor for details. 4. St. Paul High School Automotive Center: The automotive program follows the Automotive Youth Education Systems(AYES) curriculum, and prepares students for ASE(Automotive Service Excellence) certification. This program has post-secondary articulation agreements with all technical colleges and community colleges within the Minnesota State College and Universities System, as well as Dunwoody College.
