UNDER CONSTRUCTION
PARDON OUR MESS – Due to a leaky roof, part of the ceiling collapsed
and we have to tear down the walls and repair the center! This means we
had to cancel several events and rentals for several weeks, and some of
our property was damaged. If you feel you would like to help ease the
burden financially, please talk to us about what you can do to help. Part
of our existence depends on rentals and events, and a month or two with
decreased rentals and fundraisers can take a toll on us. We appreciate
the help and support from our members and friends. Thank you for your
understanding and patience during this construction period. We know
some activities will be moved around throughout the building from timeto-time and we appreciate you working with us.
Join the St. Croix Card Tournament every
Wednesday starting March 19th at 9:30am
– 11am. This event will be in Amery on
May 14th. Please make sure you call by
May 12th at 9am to sign up to play Euchre,
500 or Cribbage. Have fun!

ANNUAL MEETING REPORT
Another year, another election, and a
few new updates to the Amery Area
Community Center. The Officers voted
in are: President Todd Beaver, First
Vice President Milton Johnson, Second
Vice President Judie Johnson,
Secretary Sue Johnson and Treasurer
Mary Lou Stanley. Finance is Jerry
Tessman, Personnel is Pete Waggoner,
and Directors are Carl Johnson and
Wendell Anderson. Thank you for your
service to the community! A number of
issues were voted on, including our
name being aka: Amery Area
Community Center, updates to the
bylaws, and an increase in dues starting
in the 2015 year to $20/year. And, did
you know that over 500 members
volunteered over 5700 hours? Think of
the dollar amount saved by your
volunteering! How can we thank you
for that?!! We encourage our members
to attend the annual meeting each year.
Special thanks to Finance Chairman
Jerry Tessman for all the hard work he
did in updating bylaws and creating
policies.
ADDED BINGO NIGHT
FIRST AND THIRD WEDNESDAY NIGHT
We will be adding BINGO on the first and third Wednesday
night, starting on April 2nd. Cost is $2, with all money going
back to cash prizes to winner. Refreshments will be available
to purchase, including adult beverages to members 21 and
over. And remember to join us during our daytime bingo on
the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Fridays at 1pm!
RUMMAGE SALE ITEMS
We are now taking items for our annual Rummage Sale!
Please make sure everything is in working order and that
things are relatively clean. We do not accept clothing, shoes,
old style TV’s or computers. Items do not have to be marked,
but if they are, that’s ok too! Remember to stop by the office
to get your tax-deductible receipt. Thank you for your
support!
NEED A PLACE TO RENT?
How about considering Centennial Hall for that birthday
party, anniversary celebration or wedding reception? We can
help! We will also work with profit and not-for-profit
organizations to help you with the perfect meeting place.

A Family Tradition
At Williamson-White we know the importance of family. Being family-owned means respecting family values – compassion,
sensitivity, and a commitment to helping other families in their time of sorrow. By making arrangements before the time of
need, your family can be relieved of making tough decisions during their time of grievance. We believe in transforming a
fond remembrance into a truly meaningful and personal event for you and your family.

MEMORIALS AND GIFTS
Remember Centennial Hall as a potential recipient if you wish to
make a contribution to a worthy cause. Several avenues can be
followed:
•A monetary gift in memory of a friend or family member
•Bequest that cash memorials be given in your name.
•A charitable bequest to the Senior Center in your will.
•An annual tax deductible cash gift.
Giving to the Center allows the purchase of needed equipment,
operating costs, and helps to sponsor special programs.
