Mission, Objectives & Agenda
Mission Statement
“Athletic programs offer a vehicle for the physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual development of our school’s young
men and women. Recognizing this, the Corpus Christi Catholic
School Athletic Association is dedicated to the purpose of
providing athletic instruction, opportunity, and experience for
the young people of Corpus Christi Catholic School. We
embrace athletic competition under the rules of the
Chambersburg Recreation Department and the Catholic Youth
Organization (“CYO”); and, will always extend hospitality to
our guests and pledge our participation in the spirit of fair
play.”
Objectives
•Provide leadership to the "Members" in accordance with all
Corpus Christi Catholic School rules, Chambersburg Recreation
Department regulations and CYO bylaws.
•Promote an appreciation of Athletics and what they have to
offer.
•Manage funds collected and raised by the Athletic
Association.
•Administer, promote, manage and provide financial support
for the athletic programs of Corpus Christi Catholic School.
•Provide leadership and organizational support for Corpus
Christi Catholic School Athletics.

Draft & adopt formal Association Bylaws
Enhance partnership with school
Increase family awareness and support
Coordinate and manage all school athletic programs
Assess gym related upgrades/repairs (e.g. lights, scoreboard,
bleachers, etc.)
• Develop and manage seasonal fundraisers
– Winter Raffle
– Annual Golf Tournament
• Plan and manage special events
– Cougar Appreciation Day
– Annual Sports Banquet
– Misc. Association Sponsored Events (e.g. “Trivia Night”, “Corn Hole
Tournament“, etc.)
• Evaluate the feasibility of athletic program expansion (e.g.
Volleyball)
