FY 2015 Available TA Funding October 2015 January 2016 $100,000 $100,000 TOTAL $200,000 Technical Assistance Funds • Not-For-Profit organizations serving children and families in Hillsborough County • Overall budget of $2M or less • Not awarded Technical Assistance Grants during FY 2015 (October 1, 2014 – September 30, 2015). Technical Assistance • Capacity building activities focused on improving internal infrastructure in the areas of: – Governance – Management – Finance – Fund Development – Program Improvement • Intended to assist organizations build capacity that increases their ability to operate effectively over the long term. Technical Assistance • $5,000 is the maximum amount considered per request. • $500 per agency to cover the cost of registration for conference and training events. • One-time, time limited grants • Projects must be completed by 6/30/16 • Final reimbursement & report due by 7/29/16 • Cost Reimbursement Technical Assistance Technical Assistance grants may not be used for: – Salaries – Direct Service – Grant Writers – Construction or Renovations – Cost related to start up (program or agency) Technical Assistance The rating criteria includes 2 extra points for organizations currently not receiving program funding from the CBHC. Technical Assistance Application Due Date: 4:00 PM on November 16, 2015 Hard copy submission only Deadline for Questions: 4:00 PM on October 15, 2015 Notice of Awards: Week of December 14, 2015 Application Format & Guidelines • • • • Typewritten 8 ½ x 11 paper 1 inch margins, 12 pt font Pages numbered Application Format & Guidelines • Attachment 1- Budget Detail/Narrative – Excel Format – Formulas – Do not alter, edit or change – Instructions – Section 2.3 Application Format & Guidelines • 4 identical copies, including attachments • One must have original signature • 1 electronic copy of Application submitted on CD ROM or UBS Drive Application Format & Guidelines • A complete Application must include the following: – Cover page – Concept Paper (3 page limit) – Budget/Narrative (Attachment 1A) Application Format & Guidelines Optional Attachments: Relevant documents such as quotes, consultant scopes of service, and/or resumes, if applicable Application • Cover Page • Concept Paper – Project Summary – Organizational Capability – Implementation Plan/timeline • Budget/Narrative Budget/Narrative The Budget (Attachment 1) has three (3) columns: • Column 1 (left side): includes the Total Program Budget for the proposed project • Column 2 (middle): details the funds you are requesting in this Application from the Children's Board for this project. • Column 3 (right side): Budget narrative should describe your revenues and expenses in detail. Describe how the figures were calculated and what items/services will be purchased with the dollars budgeted. Quotes and/or estimates that support your cost should be submitted as attachments to your application, if applicable. Additional Information • Detailed instructions for completing the budget and narrative (Attachment 1) is included in the Request For Applications (Pro 2016 - 01), Section 2.3 available on the Children’s Board website. • All funding is granted on a cost reimbursement basis only. • If you are requesting technical assistance funds for a conference or training event, Children’s Board funds may only be used toward the cost of registrations and is limited to $500 per agency.
