Detailed
Description
 Key member of the Retail Distribution team which drives the strategic initiatives, market planning, financial









analysis, and approval of capital projects supporting the physical distribution network.
Propose, analyze and initiate changes to the Branch network including expansions, consolidations, and
relocations.
Manage the territory as a “portfolio”, focusing on market optimization. Candidate will apply the Company’s
goals for financial performance and ensure branch actions are in alignment with Strategic Initiatives.
Responsible for assessing the business opportunity and financial justification of Branch actions.
Write business cases and obtain funding for capital projects.
Act as a leader to define the program and gain consensus from key internal partners.
Identifies business opportunities at the market level and creates and implements business and distribution
strategies.
Responsibilities also include data manipulation and analysis, financial model creation and manipulation,
annual market and line of business planning.
Additional responsibilities involve tracking and reporting program results, market/financial/trend analysis and
building key strategic partnerships.
Presenting recommended strategy or business case to senior executives and front line management will
also occur on a regular basis.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:



Bachelor’s Degree in business or finance
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy development or business analysis, preferably in financial
services or with a brick and mortar retailer
Effective communication and presentation skills
Other Traits and Characteristics:













Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills
Familiarity with demographic data sets, census data, etc.
Expertise with database applications including Microsoft access
Experience with leading Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications, including ESRI
Proficiency with leading GIS applications (such as ESRI, MapInfo) and spatial databases
Ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines; high attention to detail
Familiarity with SAS, Essbase, enterprise data systems/warehouses
Knowledge of statistics and optimization modeling
MBA degree preferred
Must have exceptional analytical skills and be comfortable working with large data sets.
Must have experience working with databases and GIS applications.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are required to move projects from planning through execution.
Ability to synthesize the analysis and succinctly tell the story.
