The Cheeseburger Analogy of the All articles of the constitution can be thought of as a cheeseburger and its restaurant. Each article is a part of the burger or the restaurant. The preamble to the constitution is like the slogan of the restaurant. At Jack in the box, their slogan is “we don’t make it till you order it.” Their promise is that all their food is made fresh and never left out under a heat lamp. The preamble works just like this. It says what the constitution’s main point is and what it aims to do for Americans. The top bun represents the Senate, which is the upper house. The lower bun represents the Congress, which basically prevents the burger from falling over. Similar to the actual function of the Congress itself, where it prevents the other parts of the government from falling over as well. Section 1 This section is about the electoral college. Representation of the electoral college is the franchise model which chooses to vote to either make, for example, burgers OR sub sandwiches. Section 2 This section is about the military branches. Pickles, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce represent these branches. Section 3 This section is about the president, which is represented by the patty. The president’s job is to inform the congress/state of union and to decide on what type of burger it can be. When the president informs the congress, in such cases when involving the burger, the people informed decides whether or not the burger is well-done. While the executive branch is represented by decisions upon what type of cheese the burger may have and what type of burger it can be, the judicial branch is the cheese itself where it interprets the laws. It basically adds flavor to the burger. This article describes the U.S. as a whole, and what functions the states provide. Section 1 States have to prove if the “order” is wrong. (as in the food that is ordered by the people) Section 2 The states must consider themselves first (privileges must be considered in their states first). Especially when it involves crimes like when a person is charged with treason. As such, whatever state McDonald’s is located is the state that they are responsible for providing services. Section 3 McDonald’s is open to everyone and are not allowed to deny you service. Same goes for the organizations/governments/state/etc. Section 4 The building of the restaurant of the burger, like McDonald’s, represents United States as a whole. Customers are considered as the people and the burger is the service provided. In similarity, the building is protection against unwanted guests, like roaches, while the U.S. is suppose to provide services such as protection to protect its people from any outside threat. Is the agreement on ratification or change of the constitution. Two-thirds of the restaurant must agree to ratify, or change, the burger itself. Same as the two-thirds agreement on ratification of the constitution. If there were to be a mistake on the constitution, it is the responsibility of the government to fix it. Similar when it comes to food in a restaurant. If there is a mistake on the burger, it is the responsibility of the restaurant to fix it, where in this case the customer gets another burger for free. This section states that the constitution can be ratified. Just as the $1 Double cheeseburger at McDonalds has been changed into a one dollar mcdouble and an over one dollar double cheeseburger, the constitution burger can also be changed to fit the needs of the government and the people.
