Facilitated completion of research theses of over 120 graduate and undergraduate
students
Facilitated faculty members supervising the research students
Arranged for review of the research theses of the students
Arranged for theses defense of the students, in time, for their degree completion

Currently, I am working as a Principal Investigator (PI) of a research project, “Persistence
of Thalassemia in Joint Family System, Khyber Agency” funded by Higher Education
Commission of Pakistan. As a PI, some of my major responsibilities are:







Designing research methodology to answer the questions specified in the project
Defining activities to achieve the goals mentioned in the project
Ensuring that all activities take place in timely and effective manner
Hiring required personnel for the task
Managing the team working on the project and tasks allocated to them
Supervising implementation of the research design
Perform statistical analysis as per the project requirement

As a result of scholarship program, “International
Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) to
visit USA for advance research in 2007”. I was selected for research fellowship in Children
Hospital, University of Pennsylvania. During my fellowship, I mainly worked on:


Robust statistical tests for disease inheritance
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

I performed data analysis for a project that worked on malnutrition in Afghanistan. I was
provided with the data and objectives of the project, working on which I performed the




Cleaning the data according to the requirement of the analysis
Analyzing the data with the help of ENA
