Updating Our Website
We are working hard to update our website with the latest, greatest information about
Values Based Recruitment... look out for some new material in the new year.
Confirming Partner Sites
This week, we have confirmed several new partner sites for the NHS Employers Values
Based Recruitment Project. We are delighted with the keen interest and look forward to
working with a range of organisations from across the country. A further invitation was
included in the Workforce Bulletin on Monday 9th December - we hope that more trusts will
express interest in joining the project from this announcement. There are so many good
practices already happening to incorporate values in the workplace - we want to hear all
about it from as many organisations as possible, learn from it and share it with others!!
Developing a Mapping tool
Embedding values within what organisations are already doing is at the core of this project.
NHS Employers are currently designing a mapping tool activity that will allow organisations
to easily match their own values to the NHS Constitution Values. This is being tested by our
confirmed partner sites, and the activity design will be finalised in early 2014.

Values Based Recruitment Evidence Base
Recruiting for Values is already happening in many organisations - here we want to share
with your verified and tested Values Based Recruitment approaches that have been a
success for other organisations. These approaches have been designed, tested and
evaluated by ???
Resources
The change to Values Based Recruitment can be daunting and full of questions - Where do
we start? What methods should we utilise? Do we have to create all our own resources
from scratch? When will we have the time to create resources and test if they are effective?
What training do our staff need? What are other organisations doing already? Where can I
go for help with implementing Values Based Recruitment?
We hope to help solve some these issues by providing a range of downloadable resources
that have been tried and tested by organisations already. These resources can be used
either as a starting point or for organisation to tailor for their own specific workplace needs.
